Access Statement for The Limes Stow-On-The-Wold

Introduction

The nearest railway station is Moreton in Marsh, 5 miles from Stow.

Taxis are usually available from the station or in the town itself, or in the town centre next to the town hall is pullhams coach service which runs every 15 minutes from Moreton via Stow, Bourton then on to Cheltenham.

We are a 4 minute walk from the town centre, where the coaches drop off and situated on the A424 heading towards Broadway and Evesham.

Pre- arrival

Our rooms can be available on morning of check in from 10.30 if requested and departure time is also 10.30am on departure day.

Main Entrance

At the top of the garden we have a car park to space 6 cars if everybody parks within the marked out bays, we allow 1 car per room and if extra parking is needed there is a town car park at Tescos which is only 2 minutes from us and 24hrs free parking.

We can not allow parking outside the premises on the pavement, on the road is fine but not even half on or half off pavement as you will get a parking ticket.

From the car park, through garden gate the pavement 48 feet to the garden steps, which are 4 steps down and 1 ft wide, with hand rails either side, then a footpath of 14ft to our main door which is 2nd door on right with entrance sign.

The doorway has a step up of 8inchs, and is 6ftx3ft in size.

This will bring you into my kitchen which has 1 step down (10inchs) to the hallway which is 15ft to the twin ground floor bedroom and 3ft width.

Public areas, Hall and Stairs

The residents lounge is next to the twin ground floor bedroom and has the breakfast room adjoining from the lounge.

From the hallway upstairs is 20 steps to the 1st floor with a hand rail on the right, leading to 3 rooms.

There is a small landing to bedroom no3 which is from the stairs.

Then a small step 8" high with a landing to bedrooms no 1&2.

Garden rooms

These are outside rooms but still adjoin onto the main building. From the main Entrance door (kitchen ) we have the Annexe room which is 10ft away, this room has bathroom facilities downstairs, as you go in you have toilet and hand basin, the next room is the shower room with a walk in shower a step up of 8inchs into shower.

The double bedroom is upstairs, there are 10 stairs, with a rail on the left, then up to the bedroom.

The ground floor double room is 12ft from the main kitchen door with 1 small highlighted step of 3inchs, then 6ft to the bedroom door.

There is a 8inch step into this room. Everything is ground floor level.

The bathroom has shower with a step in of 8inchs. All doorways in our house are 6ftx3ft.

Garden

We have a lovely garden with running pond where guests can relax during summer months.

This is accessible from the garden path.

Additional Information

We are non smoking in the house but will allow in the garden.

We hold a fire certificate since 1974 and have all fire appliances serviced yearly. We also do a self assessment check monthly.

We have emergency numbers and contact numbers in the guest information folder. Please let us know of any sight or hearing impairment.

We open all year except Christmas or when we are away.

Cancellation Policy

We ask for a deposit per room, if you need to cancel we can forward deposit to another date within that year or if not 24hrs notice given the deposit will be non refundable.

Future Plans

To make the four-poster into a fully en-suite room, conservatory on the front of the house of the breakfast room to sit and have coffee in and enjoy the garden.
